Caf8 was opened in 2010 by Barbara and John Octo.

The couple both worked in downtown Toronto while raising their family in Oakville. In order to avoid the after work rush hour, the Octos began commuting back home later in the evening. Choosing to unwind and finish up work at coffee shops throughout the core. They were so inspired by the lack of business-friendly coffee shops available that they decided to start one up themselves. Years later, the couple has opened up two Caf8’s and seen immense success within the downtown community.
